And remember that Sibrel was never sincerely and simply asking for confirmation. He had a video camera there and was looking for material for his crackpot documentaries. He has accosted many of the Apollo astronauts in a similar way, and was probably already known to Aldrin. If you’ve seen the whole tape, you’ll notice that when Aldrin hits him, he turns to the camera and asks, “Did you get that?” If a reasonable person approached Aldrin in a polite way and asked if he really walked on the moon, I’m sure they would get a much nicer answer. ---

In my opinion the video of Aldrin supposedly punching Sibrel is a hoax (to repeat a joke at the time). ---

I don’t blame Aldrin for punching the guy. Obviously its illigal, but to have to be treated like that for years and years and be put up to the mockery of a few tabloids trying to sell some papers… I’d punch the guy. ---

Look, all the shadows point in different directions, there are no stars in the background and the dust is less than an inch thick.
