> But if Hal wasn’t there she wouldn’t have done it.

No, she would have performed some other atrocity. She doesn’t stop being a genocidal mass-murderer just because she also helped people who swore to become her servants.

I don’t think she was **pure** evil; as in being incapable of acting or feeling good or kind. I think she actually liked some people. She seemed to like John Stewart. But it didn’t change what she was, it just added another layer to it.

I think she could have dealt with the aliens herself without too much trouble.

Right, but the show centered on the fact that both the aliens and the Green Lanterns were sniffing around. If they had joined forces and planned they may have succeeded.

I think she was a basically nice person who put her own survival above anything else - she’d genuinely like you, but she’d still kill you if it increased her chance of surviving. And the thing that made her so inhuman is that she didn’t see any conflict in this.

The other aliens said that was always part of their strategy, seduce the biggest threat.

I meant beyond the truck-lovin’; she seemed fond of him even outside of what use he could be to her. But maybe I’m reading too much into that.

The only thing I wouldn’t attribute to simple manipulation was the smile she gave right before dying.

That’s the specific moment that stays with me. Usually you’d expect rage, shock, some combination, but it was almost like she’s glad it was him that ended things.

I think she regarded the human occupants of the town as we might regard domesticated animals. She had affection and even love for her “pets”, but when push comes to shove, they could be sacrificed if needed.

What’s interesting is that Antonn called out that the manhunter wouldn’t accept death. Which makes me think she has something else planned.

She still has something planned? Even after John pulled out her crystallized heart? I thought there was no going back from that.

Nitpick. They _infiltrated_ trying to sus out who the Manhunter was. Mason’s men were the ones who did the attacking.

You’re right about Hal though. He had his flaws, but he kept trying to be a good guy.

Something involving Billy and Noah presumably.

That’s what it looked like, but they’d only met each other like 3-4 times. The other alternative is that she was tired of always running and hiding and was glad for it to be over.

Green Lantern First Flight is pretty good. It’s a classic Hal Jordan/Sinestro origin story and plays like an outer space Training Day.

She was okay with dying if it meant John and Hal thought it was over.

Noah is the continuation of her programming.
