Lanterns (the green kind)

So the show about Green Arrow was called “Arrow”. The show about Green Lanterns is called “Lanterns”. Does this mean that we can expect a show called “Hornet” sometime soon.

And a gritty series: “Mr. Jeans”.

(with Mr. Moose as a sidekick)

Giant - “Eat your veggies or get stomped flat”

It’s not easy Being.

Fried tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe is being remade as we speak.

And kids will be singing about Great Gobs of Greasy, Grimy Gopher Guts.

Will the board game Clue (Cluedo) be short a character/suspect, then?

Will folk songsters be rhapsodizing about The Grass of Home?

And they make it work! And Hal doesn’t wear the suit that often because it’s hard to take a piss in that thing.

Plus, there’s that whole yellow weakness that the GL rings have.

One possibility I haven’t seen is that the show is a lead-in to the upcoming Man of Tomorrow movie. The poster for that has both Guy and John, but no Hal (yet ), and the villain will be Brainiac, who is noted for his use of illusions, among other things. He could thus be the Guardian, and set Sinestro free, in order that the Corpsbwould be too conflicted to cause him trouble.

He’s got the most powerful weapon in the universe. How hard could it be to make a fly appear when he needed one?

Would there be a risk of missing and installing a zipper on his penis? Because that could lead one to hesitate.

In this show? Maybe. I’m still trying to figure out how a decommissioned ring could still work.

Hal showed John in, IIRC, the second episode that hitting the ring on a flat surface somehow allowed access to an additional five percent power.

I don’t think there is any precedent for ‘decommissioning’ a ring. They usually go and pick their next user.

Maybe “decommissioning” is just a fancy way of saying “put it in a drawer”.

It sure seems like that is what happened. Tossed in a junk drawer with random paper clips, rubber bands and take out menues.

Why not give that one to Guy? Not familiar with the comics, but there’s some sentience there? One ring would choose him while another would decline?

Green Lantern is a long running comic so anything and everything regarding the Guardians can and has happened but I think at the core the Guardians are sincere in their desire for promoting peace and justice. They are imperfect in their methods (see: The Manhunters) but I think they are trying to do good.

As far as the show, I wonder if the Guardian we have met has her own agenda and doesn’t actually speak for the Guardians proper.

I just want to know how Noah would just happen to have a black suit that fits John? I mean if, the show was trying to squash a plot hole when he shows up properly dressed, all they did was move it one space to the left. . .

I think the DCU is going to try and avoid the “you must watch the shows to know what’s going on in the movies” trap that has plagued the last few years of the MCU. The world of Superman appears to be “yep, there’s other superheroes out there. You don’t need to know their backstory.”
