# Laptop keyboard periodically stops working for a few letters

… and then starts up again.

I had the problem for a few days two months ago. Then I didn’t have the problem anymore, then it came back again a couple days ago.

It’s not that it stops working completely… it just misses a bunch of letters and eventually staagain. (that should have read “starts up again”)

Any thoughts?

That is most likely a software issue, where some program is running at a high priority and not letting the keyboard interrupts be serviced.

Since you didn’t state anything what kind of computer you have, it is difficult to be more specific.
