I can’t get any sound to come out of my speakers. I downloaded Kazaa lite, bit torrent, adaware, nero, Real Player, and AIM today. Do you think one of these programs messed with my volume or sound settings? HELP!

If your problem is caused by one of these applications, then Real Player is my best bet…

Any one of the programs you installed may cause issues. The first thing to check is if the sound on your laptop is simply muted. It seems to happen occasionally on mine, and I havent figured out why.

If that is not the issue, you can try reinstalling your sound drivers. If you have win XP you can try system restore

go to start, run, and type in restore. In the window that pops up double click on the “rstrui” icon. Follow directions.
