# Laptop screen goes dark on battery power.

under the circumstances it could be that there was a power issue that cooked the first inverter and now the second. Or you could be the unlucky recipient of a bad inverter. Might be worth another $10 to try again.

I had to replace the inverter twice on one laptop before it worked properly.
