I had no idea there were so many ‘non casino’ local attractions.

I heard back then you could feel the heat of the concrete in Hoover Dam curing. There is almost no steel in the dam, only galvanized pipes to run cooling water through. It was estimated it would take well over a hundred years for the chemical reaction within the concrete to be completed. Did you tour the dam also, or was that too tame for you? Seems like you made an adventure wherever went.

I believe this is the very same signage that ended up in Las Vegas. We were all told it was being trucked to Vegas when I was in high school. I would have sworn he had a giant lasso above his head which held the info on what picture was showing.

The overview also mentions a lasso but I cannot find a picture of it. It also mentions the drive in closed in 1985, the cowboy was long gone by then.
