Last night I went to see _Mean Girls_, starring Lindsay Lohan and Tina Fey and written by Ms. Fey. It was amusing – not _Heathers_-level quality, but with a kinder, gentler, more after-school-special message than the '80s satire. I had an odd experience: I suddenly realized that if my wife and I had a daughter, she could end up looking like Lindsay Lohan. Maybe it’s because I was already thinking about relatives, since Tina Fey reminds me of one of my aunts. Maybe it’s because I have kids on the brain, since my wife and I are discussing having them. Maybe it’s the age difference – I’m twice the girl’s age, technically old enough to be her father. Maybe it’s because Lohan, like my wife, is a vivacious redhead. But it was…weird. As has been discussed on these boards and elsewhere, Lohan’s sexy and seventeen, but as soon as my brain made the daughter connection, she became a lot less sexy, flaunted cleavage or no. Now, I grant you that any daughter my wife and I have is unlikely to look quite as good as Lohan, unless said hypothetical daughter has a team of Hollywood makeup artists and costumers at her beck and call. Neither of us has green eyes, though, so good luck with that, daughter-to-be. And given that my family has no redheads in it, the red hair is unlikely in the real world, which is a pity. But if you blended our faces and gave her my wife’s hair and body type, well, it’s vaguely unsettling is what it is. Has anyone else ever had someone remind them of someone else who you’d never even met yet? ---

Tina Fey is hot. Really hot. And in the beginning of _Mean Girls_, she takes her shirt off. So if you want to see Tina Fey with her shirt off, see _Mean Girls_. That’s all I got. ---

I have much the same reaction to Amber Tamblyn of _Joan of Arcadia_. She is very attractive, but arouses in me a more fatherly feeling than otherwise. On the other hand, I am damned glad that no one can hear what I thinking when I watch certain other teenage actresses! ---

In the ideal world the face of my not yet born daughter would look like that too. But for a different reason - Lindsay Lohan would be her mother. ---

(The same goes for Rachel Weisz, another woman who I recognize as attractive but have no sexual impulses towards whatsoever.) Oh, and **Tristan** , she peels up her t-shirt as well, but is wearing a rather ordinary (that is, not lacy and see-through) bra underneath. ---

Don’t rule out the red hair. My parents are both brunettes. My sisters are both blonds. In fact, the last family member to have red hair was my maternal great grandfather. I have hair slightly redder than Kate Winslet from Titanic. Anyway, as to your question: my grandfather insists that if Kate Winslet and Alicia Witt (Cybill’s daughter from Cybill) had a kid, it would be me. I think it was the nicest compliment I’ve ever received. When I was younger, I looked like Lindsey Lohan did in The Parent Trap. She grew up better than I did, but my boobs are bigger 😃 ---
