Agreed. A very moving scene and that one line perfectly sums up the futility of war. You also felt the weight Col. Potter felt in devoting so much of his life to these wars. ---

Who’d have thought Crawford would be the first to go from the cast of _Village of the Giants_? Beau Bridges, Ron Howard, Joy Harmon, Tommy Kirk, Toni Basil, and even the Sheriff, Joe Turkel are all still kicking. ---

_The Courtship of Eddie’s Father_ had only three regular cast members and, of course, only the kid (Brandon Cruz) is still alive. _The Munsters_ and _Family Affair_ have two apiece: Butch Patrick and Pat Priest for the former and Johnny Whitaker and Kathy Garver for the latter. ---

Vera Miles (born August 23, 1929; now 91 y.o.) and Patricia Hitchcock (born July 7, 1928; now 92 y.o.) are the last surviving members of the main cast of _ **Psycho** _ (1960). Two uncredited actors, Fletcher Allen (born May 5, 1922) and Paul Jasmin (born April 15, 1935) are apparently still around as well.
