Here are a couple for **Reality Chuck** and a few other classic SF fans

Paraphrasing from memory an old Heinlein short story called, IIRC, “Goldfish Bowl,”

“Creation took eight days.”

And another vintage piece by H.B. Fyfe, “Protected Species,”
“I possibly forgot to explain the ruins.” Again, Jal-Ganyr’s eyes swiveled slowly about.

“They are not ours,” he said mildly. “They are yours.”
“A boy loves his dog”

-Harlan Ellison

Also, the last paragraph from King Rat, which has disappeared on me.

\*Edit- Guess I should have read the second page…oh well, both of them are seconded.

Heinlein’s “All You Zombies” has always stood out in my mind:
The Snake That Eats Its Own Tail, Forever and Ever. I know where I came from—but where did all you zombies come from?

I felt a headache coming on, but a headache powder is one thing I do not take. I did once—and you all went away.

So I crawled into bed and whistled out the light.

You aren’t really there at all. There isn’t anybody but me—Jane—here alone in the dark.

I miss you dreadfully!
I’ve always liked the last paragraph of Toni Morrison’s _Song of Solomon_:

Milkman stopped waving and narrowed his eyes. He could just make out Guitar’s head and shoulders in the dark. “You want my life?” Milkman was not shouting now. “You need it? Here.” Without wiping away the tears, taking a deep breath, or even bending his knees–he leaped. As fleet and bright as a lodestar he wheeled toward Guitar and it did not matter which of them would give up his ghost in the killing arms of his brother. For he knew what Shalimar knew: If you surrendered to the air, you could _ride_ it.
