For those older of us who already have enough capital to live on it surely is easy & convenient, and what do we care of a “little” unemployment or angry proles? At least until the major societal disruption starts.

For those younger and/or with little or no capital, the prospect of vast unemployment and/or a wage race to the bottom against the marginal cost of an AI occurring during their own working years is terrifying. And rightly so.
