When you decide to do a little cleaning and you look for your Lysol which is always on the counter in either the kitchen or the bathroom and you look in both places and don’t find it. So you look in the living room and then you look in the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom where you never put it but you know damn well you had Lysol before you went home for Christmas but you don’t still don’t find it. So you give up. An hour later you see it. In the refridgerator ---

That’s pretty scary. If the Lysol ended up in my refrigerator, somebody would drink it. ---

Yesterday, I need my big-ole-screwdriver. So I went over to where I knew I had last seen it. Not there. So I picked up a not-so-big-ole screwdriver and used that. When I returned the latter I happened to glance down and saw the former. At the exact spot I had looked for it. ---

My wife and I traveled this weekend to have Christmas with my family. My wife does not like hotel pillows and usually brings one of hers from home. But she forgot to bring one this time, so we stopped at Target when we got into town and bought a pillow and a pair of pillowcases. Then we were halfway back home today when we realized we left her new pillow in the hotel room when we checked out. :smack: ---

Most embarrassing, especially when I must scan my address book for a clue. Oh right, it’s Phyl! Hi, Phyl! What, the OTHER Phyl? Oops… One grandparent had Alzheimer’s (back before it was known). The others, all long-lived, didn’t, nor my parents. But I can feel my cognition slipping, memory fading, skills dying. I forget songs I’ve written, and sung and played for decades. I forget much in my past of geography, photography, propaganda, electronics, medicine, botany. I know where I’m going. I don’t know how to ease the path. ---

There are treatments for Alzheimer’s - not cures, but if that’s what’s going on they can improve things somewhat. There are also other conditions that can cause these symptoms, and some of them are curable. Back to the OP: either you’re going batty, or you’re pregnant. A friend of mine found the Mister Clean in the fridge due to a bad case of pregno-brain.
