I would like to make a latex duplicate (dildo) of my own penis. Does anyone know if there is a kit for such a thing. I saw something on tv a few weeks ago of someone doing this and thought, “What a great gift idea”. I’m sure that there are special effect movie making techniques where this is done every day (ok, maybe not with a penis but…) and I would like to know about the materials needed for such a thing. Hobby lobby has kits to make casts of baby limbs, perhaps you could use one of those for the mold. I don’t know about latex, but it had different types of clear and opaque plastic. ---

I think there was a similar thread on this awhile back… something about cooling your erection and then squirting that chocolate shell ice cream concoction on it before hitting it with a hammer. Did I dream that? God, I hope not. ---

One person who has excellent experience in this field is [Cynthia Albritton](http://www.cynthiaplastercaster.com/), better known as [“Cynthia Plaster Caster.”](http://www.groupiecentral.com/gwlcynthia.html) The basic idea behind Cynthia’s art was to make a cast of someone’s erect penis, then use the cast to make an model of it. They were using plaster for the finished product, but I see no reason why latex couldn’t be replaced. There is a penis-casting scene in the Dusan Makavejev (sp?) film about Wilhelm Reich, _W.R.: Mysteries of the Organism_. I saw it several years ago at the Harvard Film Archive, when Makavejev was there, I believe as a guest lecturer. It may be good reference material, if you can find it on video. – CH ---

You need ‘dental alginate’ to make the mold, and liquid latex. Apply the alginate to the penis in question, aiming to build up an alginate layer of one quarter of an inch to half an inch thickness. It will help if you apply binding material (cotton cloth) to the outside of the alginate layer to give it (the alginate) extra strength and rigidity once the penis is removed. The alginate will ‘set’ in about 10 minutes. Once it is quite hard (the alginate) remove the penis from within. Strenghten the outside of the alginate ‘cast’ if it needs it, with more clith binding or bandages. Position it somewhere secure and upright, so that it will take the liquid latex filling and can be left undisturbed for several hours. The ideal method is to stand the mold upright inside a sandbox, the dpeth of the sand = 90% the height of the mold. But not everyone has this luxury. A clamp, cloths and sturdy books will suffice. Gently fill with liquid latex one stage at a time, trying to stir to eliminate air bubbles as you go. Once filled, leave until latex has set. Remove, cut away or peel away the alginate cast. Near-perfect rubber replica of penis. If you keep the alginate cast intact, you can make as many latex copies as you want provided you do them all in a few days. After a while, the alginate cast deteriorates and is no longer good for casting. All supplies can be obtained from model-making supply stores. ---
