The MIT motto is _mens et manus_ - “mind and hand”. A student group that I work with wants to use a modified motto, “mind and foot,” for some of their advertising. I believe that this would be _mens et pedis_, but could someone check if I have the case of _pedis_ correct?

Many thanks.

_pedis_ is the genitive singular. You want _mens et **pes** _.

Hm - for some reason, that looks less appealing. What’s the plural (mind and feet)?

Unless it’s irregular (which I doubt), that would be “mens et pedes”.
