"Law & Order" bidding goodbye to Serena

I recalled Jill Hennessy being very young when she started playing Claire. According to the birth date on iMDB she would have turned 25 during the course of her first season on the show.

There’s lots of young ADAs here in New York. A lot of law school graduates like the job, despite the low pay, because they’ll get much more experience a lot faster than they will in a big law firm, where they’ll be nothing but highly-paid proofreaders for their first couple of years. The age of McCoy’s assistants seemed completely realistic to me.

Count me as another flip-flop in the group consensus: I don’t mind Elisabeth Rohm a bit as Serena, and I really like watching Vincent D’Onofrio in CI.

But then I think the last preference might have little to do with the show, and a lot to do with the fact that I think intensity in a man is very, very hot.

According to various Web sites, Rohm is filming “Miss Congeniality II,” which should definitely be considered for inclusion in any list of the top ten most pointless and least wanted sequels.

Good riddance. Heck, I even thought she was the least attractive of all the female ADAs.

I think it would be interesting to cast a man in the role again. It has been a while, after all, and better to cast a good actor than a poor actress. Then, we haev an excuse to have Carolyn McCormick is more episodes.

The Miss Congeniality franchise is where old Law and Order cast members find work. I’m expecting Michael Moriarty to show up in one any day now.

Robin

None. She was raised in the US.

I couldn’t stand her on One Life to Live, and she just got worse on L&O, and I don’t even watch much L&O (the regular series, I’m an avid SVU viewer, but the SO watches hours upon hours of the original series every week). But I’m glad she’s gone.

Since L&O seems to be a breeding ground for NYC soap actors ,there are a few out of work who could replace Rohm and give a MUCH better performance. (on the subject of the soap stars, what was funny was when two friends called the same day to tell us that each of them had just shot an episode of SVU - they’d both shot scenes for the same episode, but didn’t share any scenes together, so they had no idea they were in the same show…:)).

Ava

I won’t miss her either. I admit I always half-expected David Boreanaz to come running in and drag her back into some vampire-related crime because to me, she’ll always be Kate from the first season of Angel.

If they were going to go with two male lawyers, then they would have needed to cast a female detective to replace Briscoe instead of bringing in Dennis Farina. From what I’ve read, the higher-ups are fairly committed to maintaining the current estrogen level among the cast.

Your glad that your SO is gone!?

y’all ease up on Elisabeth Rohm! I thought she was great as “Wesley/the Dread Pirate Roberts” in the Princess Bride!

You take that back!!!

God, I miss Angie!

Dang it!!! I got my Law and Order D.A.babes mixed up! that wasn’t Rohm that is a dead ringer for Cary Elwes… it’s Stephanie March… Stupid me… STUPID!! :smack:

As do I. If I lived in the L&O universe, I may have killed someone and covered it up haphazardly just to get busted by her.

And I hated her wooden acting on that show as well, so I’m doing the sweet dance of schadenfreude at the news of her axing from L&O.

I’ve never seen an episode of any version of Law and Order, but I remember Elisabeth Rohm from her two seasons on Angel. She wasn’t a very good actress, and she had zero chemistry with Angel, who her character was supposed to have a smoldering chemistry with, but it always bugged me that her character was just dropped without any closure to her storyline.

Maybe now that she’s leaving Law & Order she can come back for a guest appearance during Angel’s sixth season.

(Please, everyone, allow me this fantasy.)

I was always disappointed that she didn’t have some sort of cameo in the last season of Angel. Kate could have given Angel some grief about how she always wanted to believe he was one of the good guys but joining W&H just clinched it for her. Did she leave the show on lousy terms or something?

LOL!

If you remove Stephanie’s giant, swan-like neck, there is definitely a resemblance there!
