# Lay's Cheesy Garlic Bread chips.

Lay’s has come out with another one of their new flavors. Anybody else tried these yet? I grabbed a bag when I just saw them at the store. They are close to being very good. It does actually taste cheesy and garlicky at first, and is good. Unfortunately it is followed by a funky chemical aftertaste which was pretty strong. I give it a 6.5 out of ten over all. I did find them on the way home from lunch, so I wasn’t hungry at all just curious. I will have to try them again when I am actually hungry, and the score may rise at that point.

It wasnt garlicy enough for my taste but a nice effort anyway.

I’m very tempted to try the chicken & waffles flavor, but I fear an overwhelming maple taste.

You would be correct in having this fear. Someone offered me a taste of the chicken and waffles chips. The initial flavor and lingering after taste definitely was maple syrup. . . and not good maple syrup, more like cheap, fake stuff.

A slightly different flavor: I sampled some Ruffles Beer Battered Onion Ring chips yesterday. There is a vaguely onion ring-y taste to them, but none of the greasy goodness that goes along with the real thing.
