# LCD Soundsystem is reforming and playing at Coachella - happy or a bit let down?

Been reading online about how James Murphy, Brooklyn dude extraordinaire, is reforming his band LCD Soundsystem and playing at Coachella, five years after a loudly proclaimed breaking with concert and film at Madison Square Garden.

LCD Soundsystem finds that nice overlap between dance, punk and indie with some arch lyrics and great hooks. There’s a reason they got successful enough to have a last concert at MSG.

Personally, I enjoy their music and didn’t have any fanboy pretentions about the purity of their intent. Musicians - what can you do? I guess I always assumed he was simply downshifting his focus on LCDSS, but it would be used by him again.
