Bernie Bros are the extremist element who refuse to support anyone but their beloved candidate regardless of the outcome, when it’s clear he’s done.

And so, in a completely tortuous twist of logic, they could quite conceivably help get Hair Hitler elected to air their discontent.

According to [the Atlantic](http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/07/another-clinton-email-scandal/492833/), it’s true.

> The email dump jeopardizes Clinton’s ability to unify the party in Philadelphia and avoid the public fratricide that spoiled Donald Trump’s convention in Cleveland. While some of the DNC emails criticized Clinton, the overwhelming number of anti-Sanders correspondences create an indelible impression that the DNC violated its oath of neutrality.

This “neutrality” thing? What are the exact parameters, here? Were the DNC not supposed to have an opinion? Are they obliged to pretend not to? Perhaps they were forbidden to hold \*ideological \*opinions, but could harbor _practical_ opinions? Like this guy I know who’s skin I’m inhabiting, really likes Bernie’s ideology but thinks that Hillary is the smarter bet. What might I have had to do to satisfy such a “neutrality” pledge?

I can expect someone to pledge to be open-minded, to be fair. But how does one pledge to have no opinion?

Anyway, not a Democrat. Almost always vote for one, being as close as I can get. But join? That could lead to meetings, its a gateway drudge. Anarchists don’t have meetings. Well, OK, \*real \* anarchists don’t have meetings. Maybe those “mainstream” sell-out anarchists have meetings, where they can leverage the power of their big-money from fat-cat donors…

If he is a Communist, so was Roosevelt. I could point you to a blog by an actual communist who feels that Roosevelt prevented a Communist revolution by his ameliorist actions and opposes Bernie for the same reason. Now whether he supports Trump is not known to me. Symone Sanders, Bernie’s former National Press Secretary, is currently coming out against the idea that the DNC rigged the primary in a long Twitter “speech”.

“But let me be clear - NO ONE STOLE THIS ELECTION! Team Sanders we did AMAZING WORK. But we lost. It’s a hard reality for some.”

“Now the contents of the leaked emails show individuals were definitely biased, but 7 folks on an email didn’t “steal” the election.”

“There are other qualms. Other valid arguments, but a stolen election is not one. I worked there. No one stole the election from us.”

“So…lets take the passion and fervor and yes anger some feel and resolve to do all we can to contribute to making our party better.”

Not enough. If I had any interesting data there is no way I’d trust Kaspersky Lab with it, for the same paranoid reason. And I still don’t.

Tonight Norman Goldman suggested, half in jest, that the DNC should’ve entrusted their servers to Hillary since hers was never hacked, just those of her corespondents.

What the difference is supposed to be (and I am not saying I totally agree with it) is that in the case of Trump the RNC allowed the will of the people to be the end result. Yes, individual Republicans may have spoken against Trump and fought like Hell to keep him from being the candidate but the actual employees maintained a neutrality that the DNC employees did not. As someone who badly wanted Sanders to be our candidate I understand all that but I knew from the beginning that he would never be allowed to represent our party. I’m just glad that he showed well enough to get some of his/our points into the platform even if it is just as lip service to win our votes. What the heck - some of it may actually get done as well.

Well, whatever the “evidence” of whatever was, it wasn’t enough to prevent Bernie Sanders from strongly endorsing Hillary Clinton and releasing his delegates to her.

I’m torn. On one hand he showed himself to be the class act and devout Democrat I believed him to be. But on the other hand he did promise to take the fight (“our fight” as I believe he put it) all the way to the convention floor. Unless there was a another round of back-room deals made to move the whole platform farther left of center, it looks like that one was rhetoric more than anything else. And in that I find myself a little disappointed.

All I know ids because of his way of handling the situation, Bernie Sanders is coming off as more presidential than either Clinton & Trump. I may have to switch my vote from Johnson/Weld to write-in Sanders/Warren.

Nobody prevented a single person from voting for him, nor was he prevented from speaking at events or debates. There is literally nothing to suggest if he had gotten enough votes that he wouldn’t be allowed to be the candidate.

A handful of staffers at the DNC may have wanted to help someone who had supported the Democrats up and down the ticket for many years over a guy who refused to even join the party until the moment it was expedient for his political career.

Frankly, I’m happy the DNC and the Superdelegates help direct the process so that we don’t get a dangerous clown as our candidate just because they can get a few more votes than the other guys.

Because no one has found evidence of anything like that. So either it didn’t happen or the Republicans are so incredibly smart as to be able to keep it totally hidden. The latter I refuse to believe.

In a manner of speaking, the Republicans used the same basic logic to justify the defeat of Al Gore by George W. It was just a few people in Florida and besides, the Electoral College process just assured that some dangerous clown didn’t get elected. It felt hollow then and it feels just as hollow now. Just like the protestors who were arrested outside the convention, I feel its time we actually have one person each having one vote. I had some hope before this that the party and “my” candidates, felt the same way.

And beyond that its more than just the actions taken; it is also the word choices those people used - at least what we can see of it from what was published. Now the question becomes, at least for me on a personal level, what do I do on election day? That looks like it is shaping up to a more interesting journey than I expected.
