# Leap second to be added Dec 31

According to CNN, The National Institute of Standards and Technology has decided to add a “leap second” to our time on Dec. 31. It will be added just before midnight on Coordinated Universal time.

But to make it fun wherever you are, make sure you add the second in your countdown.

3…2…1…1…HAPPY NEW YEAR 😃

Only for those people who live in the same time zone. For me, I won’t even get an extra second of sleep since it happens in the early evening.

Yay! My birthday will be one second longer this year! I guess I can actually take the time to think of a wish before I blow out the candles.
