Home, feeling like death, mostly. I’ve been coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose all day. My poor nose is raw and sore. I’m having some hot chocolate - that’s medicinal, right? What I want is chicken soup. But we don’t have any and I just can’t face cooking anything. I wish we could get Chinese delivery - won ton soup would be good, too. _blech_ The roads have all been pre-treated in anticipation of the snow overnight. Hope it’s an overreaction… ---

For the first time this school year, I almost started crying in the middle of class. I write home to the parents of my students every night. One of them wrote back to me and was very insulting - which she usually is - but she also told me to “Chill.” Perhaps it was the straw that broke the camel’s back, but it was all I could do to keep from bursting into tears then and randomly throughout the day whenever I thought about it. ☹ Incidentally, she had no clue of what she was talking about when she was criticizing my note that I sent home. She really was completely wrong. Oh well. This too shall pass. ---

Dindin has been et, the kitchen cleanded up, and Blizzard[sup]TM[/sup] consumed. OYKW consumed a 'nanner split. Rain is headed this way but we’re all settled in for the night so let it rain I say! ETA: **{{{StickyBuns}}}** I’d say you care too much but you are a teacher and for a teacher there is no such thing as carin’ too much. ---

My sweetie got me some soup. It was good. But the relief was temporary, alas. I’m back to coughing, sneezing, and snurfling. This is definitely a cold, not just an annoying cough. dammit. :mad: ---

I worked. The automated return system finally refused a stolen merchandise return.😃 I went to the booster Club meeting ,with the Canes Assistant GM ,Rick Olczyck. Back from a test. Must be allergy season, half the class was sneezing. Wish I could remember if Allegra puts me to sleep or not, so I could take some tonight/tomorrow morning as appropriate. Since I can’t remember, I’ll have to test it tomorrow evening, at the start of that still-odd thing called a “weekend”. ---

Turns out if I stay indoors sitting in front of a computer eating sugary snacks all day and don’t get any of my usual exercise, I’ll put on weight. Why wasn’t I told? Now what am I supposed to do now that winter is approaching and my outdoorsy-ness will reduce even further? Argh. ---

Well, **GLad** , you could do like my brother does - set up the computer on the treadmill and walk while you surf. Goodness knows, you can’t give up snacks! 😃 Good morning! There’s enough snow that the ground is covered, but the roads were just wet. It’s supposed to change to rain, then next Tues and Weds, we’re supposed to hit 70°! Weird weather. I chugged some Nyquil last night and slept thru, having bizarre dreams. Just took a couple of dayquils in the hope that I don’t cough and sneeze too much today. Thankfully, it’s my short day - I’ll be outta here at 2:30! So, Happy Firday! ugh ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 48 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 66 and sunny for the day. The temps will creep upwards over the next few days into the high 70s to low 80s. Spring begins to spring in south Jawja! Today is irk from home day. YAY! I have paperirk stuff to upload. I should also have a bunch of approvals from TPTB so I shall be makin’ calls to folks to set start dates for trainin’ next week. Plus, I shall catch up on the ever present online trainin’. ICK! Oh well I must so I shall. Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify a bit cause cleanliness and all that there stuff. Happy Firday Y’all! ---

Yes, **Sari,** it is most certainly Firday. These is a wasp on the vent above my desk. I am not allergic or anything, but I don’t care for wasps in that close a proximity. However, the vent is about 10 ft. high and I don’t have any bug spray, so guess I’ll have to work with one eye on the ceiling. Went to the Spring youth soccer meeting last night, new rule, anyone U-12 is not allowed to head the ball, either in practice or a game. Worries about concussions, especially for younger kids, had moved from Football to Soccer in the USA. Frankly, the more likely source of concussions in that age is some kid kicking the ball hard so it flies up and hits another kid in the face…but you can’t legislate that, so as a referee I’ll just have to watch out for it.
