**{{{Stephi}}}**! The bad news is that the only thing that will make you feel better is the passage of time. The good news is that time **does** pass. But I am a strong believer in “what goes around comes around”. Eventually, he’ll get what he deserves.
And so will you!

First post here and I have to suggest a book, How to Survive the Loss of A Love by Melba Colgrove, Harold H. Bloomfield and Peter McWilliams. I survived a divorce and the ending of a 10 year relationship with that book. Journaling also was a savior for me. I’ll be thinking of you, but just know in your heart that it does get easier, it just takes ALOT of time.

If you’d like me too, send me an email and I’ll send the book to you via postal service. (xcd1@psu.edu)

I’d planned to quote a song - I Will Survive - to suggest that you change your locks. Someone already suggested that and you’ve done it, so good for you.

This MB is such an amazing community - a place where you can pour your heart out and we will listen, comfort and share your pain with you, as well as give the best advice we can.

We (I hope no one minds that I speak for many of us) are here for you. I’ll be thinking about you - feel free to email or IM me anytime if you’d like to talk.

So it’s been, gosh two weeks already? And I’m still getting used to sleeping in an empty house. I feel like I should be more broken up than I am, but instead, I feel hopeful. Incredibly scared, but hopeful. I have changed the locks, and it was a good thing too, because I think my ex tried to get into the house when I was at work. Anyways, he is now living with his parents again. I have consulted with a lawyer and I’m trying to determine if I can keep the house, or if I’ll have to sell it. It looks like it’s going to be a while before I know either way. I’m ok with either really, I have a good job, and if I have to sell, it’s not the end of the world. I keep telling myself that. 🙂

Nothing is the end of the world. And I’m not stuck in limbo anymore. Which is good. 🙂

I’ve been talking on irc a lot, and I’m getting a lot of support from people there. And I’ve gotten a lot of support from ElenFair and especially LadyDisco, so I’d like to thank them publicly. And thanks to all you people on the SDMB, almost none of you I know personally, for your kind words and wishes.

I’m learning to breathe again.

Glad to hear you’re getting on with the getting on. Glad to hear you changed the locks, too - he might have never come back, but you sure didn’t need to come home to either him sitting in your living room, or your house cleaned out of anything of value. Glad to hear you talked to a lawyer, too (so much to be glad about :)!); selling the place might still be a bit of a problem, but not an insurmountable one, especially since you have a good job and are not in financial trouble. Hope everything works out great for you; we all deserve to love and be loved properly.
