When I first got to this town I was driving around aimlessly just to get my bearings on how and where everything is here and I came across a business that imo could not have been worse named. It is called **Miss Carrie’s Day Care**. Every time I drive by it now I just wince. ---

Not as funny or suggestive as some of the others, but I have a picture of a storefront in London for a shop called **Fish n Things**. The funny thing about it is that, looking in the window, they’re not selling fish, or fishing gear. I have no idea what the name has to do with the business. ---

We have the obligatory Phuket Thai restaurant which made my son’s eyes bug out the first time he saw it and a mobile BBQ guy called Pete whose motto is emblazoned across his truck - “You don’t need teeth to eat Pete’s Meat”. But one of our family favs is outside Canton, GA called the “Fast and Easy”. It’s a convenience store but the windows are darkened and they do the online video gambling plus there seems to be some awfully seedy women in there. . . ---

There’s a “Rock Bottom Liquors” in Dover, NJ. I’m sure they’re talking about their low prices, but it reminds me of a smelly, homeless alcoholic stumbling in to shoplift a jar of corn whiskey. ---

Ooh, just remembered another local one. Not as bad a name, but still: aren’t you creeped the hell out by a store called **Unka Bubby’s Toons**? It was, apparently, a music store, not a pedophile’s kiddy-trap, but I always crossed the street to avoid it anyways. And so did other people too: it went out of business fast. Daniel ---

There’s a corner shop along the road west out of Hammersmith in London called BOOTY. I keep meaning to take a photo of it but I haven’t got round to that yet. ---

Somewhere on the road between Chicago and New York, maybe Cleveland, there is a gas station called Pump and Dribble. I had to take a picture of the sign. There was a bar on the corner by my apartment once called Sit and Sip, but it was such a dive, we called it the Slouch and Slurp. ---

I’ve seen various hair salons named **Bushwacker** \*. For, numerous reasons, I just don’t see that as a good name, but at least one of the companies has been in business for over 30 years. On the naïve side, I just wouldn’t trust my hair to a place with such a name (and judging by the Pit threads, I’m not the only one particular about my hair). 😉 \*Alternate spelling is Bushwhacker.
