# Least expensive/invasive way to get a water spigot in my front yard?

If you leave water in the pipe over winter, it’ll freeze and burst the pipe. You can drain a hose by coiling it, but you have to get the water out of a buried pipe somehow.

Yikes, I’d like to think that their inspector noted that before they bought the house?

The inspector I paid when I bought the house never mentioned it. The eventual buyer wanted an expedited sale with closing ASAP, in exchange for me agreeing to this (why wouldn’t I?) he said he’d forego an inspection.

I had an almost-sale prior to this and their inspector didn’t mention it.

I have since heard that Federal Pacific circuit breakers were a huge no-no. It was not easy to find the single FP breaker I needed, and it cost 4X the cost of a “normal” breaker.
