Part of it was his was problems with Elijah Muhammed, others had to do with him leaving the NOI and becoming a Sunni Muslim. He also began moving away from black separatism, which DEFINITELY didn’t sit well with Elijah.
That’s because he and them alike were not worth remembering.
Really, that’s a serious answer.
So, I went about X minutes, and it took another read of your post before I figured out why there were so many Malcolm X fans in Albuquerque. :smack:(Some days my brain works faster than others.)
Malcolm’s investigation into the Elijah Muhammed’s fathering of children with young girls was what caused him to leave the NOI. Farrakhan wrote in the NOI newspaper that Malcolm was worthy of death. He spoke at the mosque where the assasins worshipped days after the assasination. He later justified the murder as something a nation does to its traitors. He apologized in 2000 for speaking words that contributed to the climate that led to Malcolm’s death but denied ordering it. One of the men who was convicted of the murder was made head of the NOI’s harlem mosque by Farrakhan.
As Arte Johnson would say: “Verrrrry Interesting…”
What I find HIGHLY suspicious is that the three of them don’t have a proper surname among them. Just first names. I’ve heard from someone who had official encounters with the CIA that he could always tell if one was traveling under a cover name because his first and last names were both first names. Having a middle name that is also a first name is the clincher. I’m willing to bet that Sirhan Sirhan’s middle name was also Sirhan.
Having a given name as a family name is quite common in the Anglo tradition. And why would the CIA choose a recognizable pattern for false names?
I know. My wife’s relatives tend to be named Tom Thomas. Even the women.
Because they are idiots or my source is crazy. Or both. I know my source is a bit off and the CIA has [del]sometimes[/del] [del]rarely[/del] never been nearly as effective as they could be.
I’ve never known anyone with the first name “Oswald”.
Not Oswald Boelcke? Or Ozzie Nelson? Or Oswald the Lucky Rabbit? Disney traded Al Michaels to Universal to get him back because he is so valuable.
Oswalds are everywhere, lurking in the shadows, ready to call in a CIA drone strike on you for suggesting that Ozzie Osbourne is really named John.
But I’ve said too much.
