I believe that little piece of lefty info has been known for quite some time. However, I can’t remember where I first learned of it. I just remember I raised my left hand heavenward and shouted: **HALLEJUHAH! THE PERFECT MASTER IS A LEFTIE!** 😃

Hooray! (Although I knew that).
My favorite button, which I once inadvertently wore to a job interview:
“Hire the left-handed. It’s fun to watch them write.”
(Interestingly, I did get the job. I don’t recommend that for everyone, though).
I also have a left-handed ruler. Screws everyone at work up.
Did y’all celebrate [International Left-handers’ Day](http://www.holidayinsights.com/other/lefthand.htm) on August 13? It was started on Friday, August 13, 1976 by Lefthanders’ International.
And, for the lysdexics on board:
“Old McDonald was dyslexic: O-I-E-I-E!”
(OK, my dyslexic right-handed friend thought it was funny…)

Several years ago I started a thread outlining my evidence that both Cecil and Ed Zotti were left handed, the implication being obvious. That thread actually made it into threadspotting.
However a simple search plugging in my user name ,zotti and cecil yeilded 0 results. Obviously the thread was deleted and one can only surmise that I had hit a little to close to home.

I guess this is as good a place to ask this question as any…
I’m a lefty, with a little “l” I guess, because while I write, eat and shoot left handed, everything else I do is right handed. Throw a ball, righty. Kick, righty, dominant eye, right side.
I’ve run into a few people who are like this, but I’ve never been able to find out what would cause it. Doesn’t seem to be any common denominator in the folks I’ve talked to…
So dopers, any ideas?

I think it has something to do with brain function, but I’m certainly not the authority on brain function. 🙂 I do _everything_ lefty–I’m left-handed, left-footed, left-eyed. (Yes, there is such a thing–which eye do you use to look in a microscope?)

I’m the same way with sports - all right handed.
I seem to use my left hand for detailed work like writing, using scissors, sewing etc. and my right for anything that requires additional strength.
Don’t know why though 😕

We can all join the Left-Handers club at [Anything Left-Handed.](http://www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk/)
As an interesting bit of information, my parents are right-handed, my brother and I are both left-handed. His children are both right-handed, my son is left-handed. What this proves, I don’t know.
