# Legale implications of the attack on Iraq

What, if any, are the legal implications of the attack on Iraq and in particular the attempt to kill Saddam Hussein and other Iraqi leaders?

I suspect that it is all illegal under international law, but that it really doesn’t matter as the US does this kind of thing about two or three times a decade.
