Regardless of how you feel about David and the “future prophecy”, he has always tried to be the good guy, while Farouk has never seen humanity as anything more than insects and playthings. We are talking about the desperate act of the Shadow King trying to save his own skin and masterplan. Until I see more evidence next season, this makes much more sense than turning our star of the show into some well meaning assaulter.
