Our kids (9 and 11) understood the Kragle part. They didn’t understand the double meaning of “the man upstairs”, so the ending confused them a little.
Just saw it with my 4 and 6 year old boys. A lot of the little references went over their head, but they both enjoyed it thoroughly. The final act is touching and beautiful, for any dad with boys.
I think it really captured the true joy of Legos.
And for those that are thinking it is a huge ad for Legos: you are right, but not the way you think.
