I think the music has stopped. Ugh, this is the bad thing about warmer weather. Stupid neighbors blast bad music with the doors open. **Spaz** , your perfume comment reminds me of the girl I sat next to today, on the El. She must’ve been wearing a gallon of cheap perfume. I considered dry-heaving onto her lap, but restrained myself. ---

I’d worry about a headache that lasts a week, just sayin’… **Rigs,** I feel ya pain–the SO fed me gyoza and rice for dinner, which was yummy and easy on my ouchie face. Oh, re our crappy ass healthcare system, I found [this](http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/sickaroundtheworld/etc/graphs.html) rather alarming graph showing how abysmally we stand on several key healthcare issues in spite of spending over 15% of our GDP on health care. Fer cryin’ out loud, Taiwan spends only 6% and a bit but they have everybody covered–TAIWAN! Sheesh… I’ve been trying to get my lawn mower back from my boy so I can mow BEFORE the giant mutant papyrus grass from hell gets going–if I zap it early I can stay on top of it but if it gets more than a few inches tall it turns into what appears to be fiberglass fishing poles that sneer at my mower. **Flutter,** that sucks! I assume you have a warranty on it, sure hope it wasn’t anything in your electric service that caused it to smell smoky because that’s really scary. **Haze,** spray the noisy bastiches with a hose–loud AND bad music is just insupportable. Either one is bad enough but both deserves a soaking. Then throw a toaster in with 'em too. **NoTags,** welcome back! You have to post pix of the Peanut as soon as you get them–ultrasound is cool… ---

Hey there everyone! Hugs and get wells to all who need them. I’ve been busy here, so I haven’t really had a chance to pop in. Work has been rather busy and today I had to come home and go directly to the Y. I didn’t get to stay as long as usual because my daughter came along and she didn’t want to stay that long. She has homework to do, so I can’t really fault her for wanting to go. My husband and our friend are still there, so I’m waiting for them to get home. I guess that’s all I’ve got for now. ---

Drive-by. This is national social butterfly week. I have social engagements every night this week except Friday. And then I have a couple on Saturday. And then I’m going to the Cincinnati Flower show on Monday. I’ve declared it a vacation, even though I’m working Monday through Friday. Scottish Darling won a prize at the end of the year for her thesis - we were all very happy for her, but also hugely amused because it had been about bestiality. I’m getting my BA in May. Scottish Darling sounds awesome. One of the papers in my portfolio was about mother-daughter incest in the poetry of Anne Sexton. A friend and I were working together, throwing our portfolios together at the last minute before the deadline, and she had to talk me out of using two papers about incest. So I only used the best one. Haven’t written anything on bestiality yet, but I guess that leaves me something to look forward to for grad school. ---

Happy 3 months, Nat! Congrats on your wedding, **ems**! I didn’t get half of the stuff done I intended to do. I was able to get to the salon, where the nice ladies left me looking somewhat presentable, non-calloused and semi-hairless. Also I was able to get sis’ wedding gift from her registry. However, no luck on the dress - everything at Macy’s that’s size 14 and up is either a loud print, has too many ruffles, or would be better suited for a funeral. The message from the good folks at Macy’s toward us plus-size women who dare to seek out formalwear seems to be, “Say, Chubby, would you mind blending in with the scenery, maybe sit next to that potted plant near the hors d’oeuvres so us normal folks can actually enjoy the party, kthxbai.” :mad: I’m going to try Torrid tomorrow. I saw something in the window that actually might look decent on me. I might even take all of Thursday off to go dress and shoe hunting first thing. ---
