I have a very bad headache. On the right side of my head, the epicenter is directly behind my ear. This is twice in the last week. Mom was here tonight and I took an asprin for it. I didn’t go back out and mow today, it was really beautiful, but very windy. With as dry as that grass is, no matter what I did, I’d never keep it out of my face. So I’ll be going out there tomorrow to do my three inch cut. My cousin, (the one who is married to the son of the woman who owned the house we bought.) stopped by tonight. We went to the auction Saturday for stuff that was in the house, (Scored on another cloche and two other church hats for 30.00 total. Plus a bench and table for five bucks!) But anyhow, there was an oven in the basement that she used for baking the turkey for the holidays. She bought it in 1953 from the electric company. They’re going to deliver it this weekend. It’ll be perfect for canning this summer. It’s cleaner than you could imagine too. I baked chocolate chip cookies today. I baked a batch last week, but it turned out hard and dry. I’ve always doubled it. I did so today and they turned out perfect. Go figure. I grilled steak, but didn’t get to enjoy it fresh. Jim’s uncle and his girlfriend and new baby stopped by. It just wasn’t the same warmed up, and I ate after six. _sigh_ And I’m either feeling some baby flutters, or I’m getting gas. At this stage it’s hard to tell. I’m anxious for kicks, dangit! ---

**Nola** jake on the old oven. I foresee TDay turkey baked in it. 😃 As for the rest, hope ya feel better. And now… da bear is over his pissy mood cause of birdies… As I’m sure I mentioned earlier, my church is hosting our area Convocation on Saturday for some workshops followed by a picnic for which da bear will spend a good deal of the day cookin’. We’re smokin’ beef briskets and my church has a big ass smoker that would be perfect for that. However, robins have made a nest in the chimney of said smoker and there are lil’ aigs in said nest. Which means, of course, we just cannot use the smoker cause, well, there’s lil’ ol’ robin’s aigs in the chimney. Jake, huh? So… I am waitin’ on a church member who is comin’ with his trailer to pick up my small charcoal smoker (church smoker is a big ass charcoal smoker) which, along with three other smaller charcoal smokers owned by church members will be used to smoke the briskets. HEE! A lil’ ol’ robin’s nest is causing a biiiiiiiiig change in plans. I **LOVE** it! Heck, it’s a small price to pay, IMO, for some new baby robins in the world. The other fun part is, I got to give strict instructions as to exactly what must be purchased to make our world famous baked beans. Oh the power! Anywho… that got me over my pissy mood. Yeah, I am easily placated, what of it! 😛 ETA: Cute hat **Haze**. You should definitely get it. ---

Jim swears there is a pith helmet in the house somewhere that belonged to his father. I will have a pith helmet to add to my collection! Yup, I’m weird, and I love hats. I’m not much for ball caps though. Jim has more than enough for the neighborhood. He even has several of those hangers with the clips to hold like twenty of them at a time. His aunt is an impulsive buyer. And a hoarder. Jim would too be a hoarder, but I’ve tamed it enough to call it pack ratting. **Rigs** , I like the hat! I’m thinking my feathered pink sombrero will get me :dubious: looks from the neighbors when gardening. I might go with a classic straw hat or something quite like the linked one. Decisions, decisions. ---

Y’all have been a chatty bunch today. Of course, y’all are a chatty bunch every day. Why am I surprised? :dubious: I’ve had an extremely boring day. So I’m glad to be distracted with such earth-shattering issues as the purchase of adorable hats. That hat is made for you, **Haze**. I like that hat **Haze** , get it! I had a hat like that one **rigs** but it obviously wasn’t a Tilley hat because a Tilley hat is unshrinkable and mine, well, shrunk… Took Velociraptor to the Wiggles where he had a blast. At least until he hit his head on the rail in front of us (actually it was in the midst of our group of seats and he was on my lap… jumped up while half crouched and wham! He’s developing a bruise. Between that and his scraped nose (from when he tripped and fell on the concrete pad) people will think I beat him! I’m all tired now though, and my cold is mainly gone I just have this horrid stuffed up nose that I can’t breath through at all, which makes it hard to eat and makes me sound real funny on the phone. ---
