I have always wondered if lesbians like breasts (on a person they fancy) at all…or if it turns them on or is a point of attraction to them…

My lesbian friends always seem to comment on a woman’s bum…legs…or personality…i have to this day never heard at least one of them say…“look at the tits of such and such” or something in that nature…

Is it because they have breast of their own…and it is not a primary sexual organ…unlike gay men and penises…as penises ARE primary sexual organs on a man and my gay friends are almost always commenting on them…(not in the sex crazy way…i hope you understand the drift of what i wanna say)…😃

I am new to this forum…and i hope this question is appropriate and posted in the right section…

They have legs and bums and faces and personalities of their own, and those aren’t primary sexual organs either, so I don’t think this is it. If there even is an “it”. Maybe it’s just that the ones you know happen to have different likes than breasts.

Also, 20 minutes and only 2 views? \<taps message board\> Is this thing on?

I got the expression “anecdote is not the plural of data” from this board, so discount this as you want:

I can’t answer directly as I’m a heterosexual dude, but I can speak from some pretty extensive experience with bi-sexual women. For about the past ten or so years, my wife and I have been in the ‘lifestyle’ (I hate the term but no one as ever suggested a better one. It’s much more a hobby than a lifestyle.) We attend swinger parties about once a month or so and meet other couples from time to time. I’d say that the percentage of bi-sexual to ‘bi-curious’ women in couples is at least sixty to seventy percent (most sites only have those two options, but there’s bi-passive, bi-comfortable, a whole range of attempts to describe).

That said, I can toss the disclaimer that anecdotes are not the plural of data out the window and claim: Women. Love. Boobies. They love talking about them. They love complementing them. They love playing with them. They love making other people feel good. They love love love boobies. It’s not as crass as construction workers hooting about a passerby’s rack, but exposed cleavage is likely to attract attention from either a man or a woman.

And with good cause … boobies are fun.

Yes there are lesbians who are “tit women”. Lesbians tend to have somewhat structurally masculinized brains even if they present physically as women. What a man finds attractive in the way of secondary sexual characteristics is likely to be similar to what a lesbian will find attractive.

One of my lesbian friends absolutely loves boobs, and will turn and stare just like a man if some exposed cleavage bounces past. My boyfriends loves her; he says she’s the first woman he’s known who understands him. 🙂

I have quite a few lesbian friends, but she is the only one I’ve noticed who is so unabashedly into breasts. Particularly awesome ones elicit comments from everyone, though. Oh, and weirdly (not that you asked) all my gay male friends like breasts as well, and will sometimes ask to play with mine if they are drunk. It seems less sexual though, and more just general interest in their bounciness and stuff.

Anyway, I can say for a fact that some lesbians are REALLY into boobs, and others seem to like them about average.

It’s “data” that is not the plural of “anecdote”. (“Anecdote” is not the plural of “data” either, but nobody would think that it is.)

Structurally masculinized brains? Are you for real with this?

Straight-ish woman here. I am married but, boy, do I love boobs. Seriously, if men had breasts that reacted the way that womens’ do, it would be the best thing EVER.

I am typically the one pointing the really good ones (large or small) to my husband.

More or less this. I am boringly straight, but I guess decades of advertising has imprinted itself upon my hindbrain that BOOBS ARE TO BE NOTICED!! And hell yes they’re fun. I like playing with mine; I imagine I’d like playing with someone else’s too 🙂 It just doesn’t turn me on. But they will get my attention, lol.

This is news to you? This has been known for some time. Inherent sexual orientation is affected by several factors and the fetal hormonal environment has a significant impact. While the effect is subtle lesbians tend to (on average) have more masculinized brain structures than heterosexual women. Why would this even be a surprise? It makes perfect sense.

[Sexual differentiation of the human brain in relation to gender identity and sexual orientation.](http://www.shb-info.org/sexbrain.html)

> [@](#):
>
> The brain structure differences that result from the interaction between hormones and developing brain cells are thought to be the basis of sex differences in a wide spectrum of behaviors, such as gender role (behaving as a man or a woman in society), gender identity (the conviction of belonging to the male or female gender), sexual orientation (heterosexuality, homosexuality or bisexuality), and sex differences regarding cognition, aggressive behavior and language organization. Factors that interfere with the interactions between hormones and the developing brain systems during development in the womb may permanently influence later behavior. As sexual differentiation of the genitals takes places much earlier in development (i.e. in the first two months of pregnancy) than sexual differentiation of the brain, which starts in the second half of pregnancy and becomes overt upon reaching adulthood, these two processes may be influenced independently of each other. In rare cases, this may result in transsexualism, i.e. people with male sexual organs who feel female or vice versa. It also means that in the event of an ambiguous sex at birth, the degree of masculinization of the genitals may not always reflect the degree of masculinization of the brain (21-24). In addition, gender identity may be determined by prenatal hormonal influences, even though the prenatal hormonal milieu might be inadequate for full genital differentiation (25).

Here’s another interesting differentation.

My point was that this is as relevant to what to what non-heterosexual women who have been raised and socialized as women in western society find sexually attractive as the shape of our left big toe.

I recall at the time that data came out some anti-homosexual activist made the claim that something that some “lesbian practice” was responsible for their inner ears being different. The mind boggles to imagine what he thought lesbians did to each other to produce that result.

I suspect it’s all due to listening to too much acoustic guitar music.
