I wish I could somehow orchestrate it so that _every_one who\* ever\* got into Ahmad’s car made out with the same sex… Young black woman and elderly white grandma? The words cocksucker and cunt, not directed at another poster, don’t bother me. Potty mouths are not the issue and one would have to be dense beyond black hole level to think it is. But I will prefer a “tut tut patrol” as one way to decrease the knee jerk (or whatever they are jerking) responses that _even I_ (a male who really initially did not think there _was_ so much of this here, who just did not see it, and who still does not see it in many of the threads that **Sunny Daze** called out) see would be experienced as offensive by a large group. And while apparently now being a jerk while jerking whatever is being jerked is not itself against the rules … per Zotti’s confused and confusing contributions … doing that which you know is offensive to a group for no particular good reason is being a jerk. (Or is it now being a dick? An asshole?) If one does that then they should be at least called out on it, and own it. As to the thread. It would not matter if the driver objects to ANY kissing in his car (hardly believably the case) … or if they gave each other a more romantic kiss than a peck … unless they were doing something that counted as sex in public or exposure his job as driver does not include enforcing his social mores on his customers. ---

NYC requires any livery driver, including Uber & Lyft, to have a livery license. It sounds like that applies to the near mythical ride-sharing case, where you’re in a car with other passengers who you don’t know. I don’t think the “no touching!” rule applies to passengers travelling together (though the “no sex!” rule hopefully does). ---

I don’t want to defend the driver, but I can maybe understand his claim that the kiss was “illegal,” since even a quick kiss is, technically, “sexual conduct with … fellow riders.” By the way, we seem to be assuming in this thread that it was the homosexuality of the kiss that the driver objected to, and that he wouldn’t have reacted the same way with an opposite-sex couple. I think that’s _probably_ true, but not necessarily, unless there’s some evidence I’ve missed. ---
