From growing up in Illinois, I vote for “popsicle”, “6 ways from”, and “3 sheets”. I’ve heard both “3 sheets in” and “3 sheets to” but we never sailed in the corn fields, so what would we know?

I also think Johnny L.A. is funny.

I also think Oscar Wilde was funny.

Am I reading this right? You guys don’t know what a popsicle stand is?

It’s a stand where you buy popsicles.

I always figured it had similar origins to “I’ll fix his little red wagon!” i.e. nonsensical, yet with a hint of sense just to make it seem like it means something.
