There is an amazingly pathetic furry (okay, that’s redundant) in her Biotech class that she tells me about, and we make fun of him together. It’s really quite fun! Honestly, my biggest problem with this board is that soo many people seem to take some kind of twisted pleasure in being offended, because they always seem to be on the verge of it. Enough so that I sometimes wonder if Dopefests have a volunteer at the door handing out sticks to shove up your ass, or if you have to bring your own. ---

I gave it some thought, decided the answer might benefit some persons to hear, and admitted to having done bad things without once saying they were justified. I never defended anything I did back in those days and said that my motivations for behaving hatefully were completely irrelevant, because the only thing that mattered was the result of the behavior. And, when I realized how evil I was being, I admitted it and worked to become a better and different person. ---

And **Skald** , I get that, but the person who did those things is still inside you, whether you’ve paved over him or not. You did things that were so fucked up that I never even knew that people did them on purpose. You could build Habitats for Humanity and help little old ladies across the street for a hundred years, and there are still people who wouldn’t trust you. I’d probably kill myself before I pulled some kind of shit like that. ---

Also featured in that thread: ivan astikov and Diogenes the Cynic admit they were wrong. That’s right, neutron star is more willfully ignorant than ivan astikov and Diogenes the Cynic. So I’m just ignoring him at this point. ---

If that’s the case, then calling yourself a furry when all you really mean is that you like talking animals in Disney movies, is actually worthy of pity. To need that sense of community so badly that you overemphasize a minor entertainment preference in order to fit in with one of the most disgusting groups of people this side of the law, and in the process, open yourself up to all the ridicule that comes with it? That’s really quite sad. I’m not going to make fun of **Silver Tyger Girl** anymore. Before when she said it wasn’t sexual, I just thought she was lying. The truth is a lot more depressing. ---
