…based on poster’s names.

**PatriotX** gave me the idea, trying to [make a verb out of **Lekatt.**](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=169316) (And I believe **Princhester** has been trying to popularize the term.)

As an example, once when I was in the army, I knew someone named Lombardo, who had the habit of “borrowing” other people’s posessions.

“Lombardo! Those are my shoes you’re wearing!”

“Oh? Well, you weren’t using them, were you?”

“And what happened to my hamburger? Did you take that, too?”

“Well, it was only getting cold, and I knew you don’t like cold burgers, so I ate it. I saved the rest for you, here.”

So we coined the verb, “to lomborrow,” which means to appropriate something belonging to another without their permission or knowledge. Giving it back is optional only if discovered.

Then there was Grishman, whose main hobby was “borrowing” cigarettes, which were consumed, of course, and not replaced. So “to grish” meant to lomborrow something which could not be given back.

Any ideas for SDMB poster’s names?

Here’s one (weak, I know): A **Princhester:** a legal rifle down under

To be **Hal Briston** ed: When someone who is pretenting to be you makes a statement that will tarnish your reputation, or make people think that you have sex with sheep.

Can’t really work for me cos i’m too new but on another forum the word **zelificent** is in fairly frequent use 😃 It has a variety of meanings - magnificent, logical, bratty or just plain strange. It’s a word i very much enjoy being the instigator of.

I won’t use the actual name, but I know a guy whose name has been given a meaning like this.

To S\_\_\_\_\_ someone means to make plans with them and call at the last possible moment, saying “Yeah…I’m not coming.”

Bonus points if your tone makes your indifference about their feelings obvious.

To **Hal Briston** : having unusual sexual habits but vociferously denying it.

Sorry, **Regallag\_,** just refining your def. Language is ever-evolving, right?

Won’t work, dude. When your username changes, it changes for all your old posts too.
