Brian Rust’s \*Jazz Records 1897-1942 The Savoy Cocktail Book \* I have several other books around that are disqualified by virtue of being only _mostly_ useless (such as _La bonne cuisine de Mme. Saint-Ange_, the bible of French kitchens, which is very helpful on fish cookery), or partially useful (such as the 1944 _USAAF Navigator’s Information File_, which goes into conserable detail on topics like weather, wind, and survival tips for downed aircrews). ---
