I finally got [my list](http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&sub=ANF&id=adam+yax) together. Nothing too special, but a few fairly unique vids. There may be one or two movies that I’ve loaned out and forgotten for this list. Also, DVD Aficionado doesn’t list my version of Dr. Strangelove. ---

Well, you actually inspired me to organize my DVD’s today. My list ( minus two ): [http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&sub=All&id=tamerlane](http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&sub=All&id=tamerlane) A few decent things, a few really trashy things, some stuff in between. I have a few dubious impulse/sale buys in there. I doubt anybody is salivating over my copy of the so-so teen film _Can’t Hardly Wait_ and I wouldn’t recommend _Planet of the Vampires_ to anybody but dedicated students of scifi/horror film ( it has some interesting imagery when it is not looking impossibly fake ) or folks like me that became fascinated with it while watching it late night as a kid ;). _Satan’s School for Girls_? Eh…well it was cheap and I find Pamela Franklin kinda fascinating ( I curse the fact that _The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie_ isn’t available on DVD yet ), but lord was it boring. But nobody better criticize _Vamp_ - the albino street gang alone makes it worth owning :p. Interestingly enough, while this DVD Aficionado place does seem to have a decent database, it did fail to produce two of my dvd’s on a search, both foreign films. One is the director’s cut of _Das Boot_ ( hardly an obscure film as foreign films go ), the other a two-disc set of _Le Cercle Rouge_ ( which is a criterion release and really should be in there ). Tried to pick up _12 Monkeys_ today and was horrified when I was told it is out of print. Further _The Missouri Breaks_ and _The Hairdresser’s Husband_ are also not out yet :mad:. - Tamerlane ---

Hey, neat website. I couldn’t help myself: I had to register and make my own list. Pretty good database they’ve got: it found everything I have. And whaddaya know? I own one hundred and twenty five movies. I had no idea I had so many. And yet, looking at **gobear** ’s list, I feel… unmanned. I’m going to have to go out tonight and buy a bunch of new DVDs. The movies that, someday, I know I will own off of **gobear** ’s list: _American History X Bound Clerks Excalibur Fargo Finding Nemo Kill Bill A Knight’s Tale_ (you heard me) _Pulp Fiction_ (still have it on VHS) _A Fish Called Wanda_ All the MST3K stuff I don’t have already _Buffy_ season 4 _Dawn_ and _Day of the Dead The Shining The Abyss_ (Mine, inexplicably, is Full Screen) _Babylon 5_ season 4 All the _Futurama_ Inexplicably missing from my bookshelf (I KNOW I own them…) _Shakespeare in Love Crouch Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2001 Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas_ Considering some of the movies on my list (_It Runs in the Family_?!?!), I’m not going to go anywhere near “Movies I’d burn.” Glass houses, and all that. Oh, and one recommendation: Dreamworks’ animated _The Prince of Egypt_. You’ve got a few cartoons, a lot of musicals, and I know you’re interested in religion. I think this one would be right up your alley. ---

I also had to register because of this thread. Here’s [my collection](http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=richk). It’s heavy on Criterions and cartoons. 208 movies! The problem is my roommate also has about 200 of his own, so some that I watch a lot and consider my favorites aren’t even mine. He’s moving out soon so now I have to break my bank account to get my own copies. ---
