As most of you know chique is going through a truly difficult time right now. I’ll leave it to her to give you the details she wants to discuss publicly – either here or email or pm or whatever form she would prefer – believe me when I tell you that this is a good time to be her friend. And in that spirit, please go to [this webpage](http://www.ctrpcs.com/Chique.html) for how to help her financially. Your contributions are anonymous unless you specify otherwise. It’s up to chique to decide how public she wants to take this so I will leave those details up to her and she’ll tell us how we’re going to do this. Thank you. A lot. And thanks to **Tuba** for setting this stuff up for me. My financial situation has been shaky since this whole thing started two years ago and now it’s going to get worse, particularly as they’re telling me that it’ll be 4-6 months before disability actually kicks in. That’s a scary long time to be broke. ☹ Right at this moment in time I am ok but I have no idea how long my savings are going to last. I’m…stressing. I’m used to being on the other side of the desk from the guy getting the SSI check; being on the other side is a whole nuther ball o’ wax. ---

**TubaDiva** has been passing on emails and board names of those generous people who have helped me. If you have not received a personal reply from me it’s because you’ve chosen to remain anonymous; you don’t have PMs enabled; or you helped me before 9 December (the last date **Tuba** updated me (and once I receive that update you’ll get a personal response, as well)). Or I screwed up, which is always a possibility, and for which I apologize. 😛 For those that fall into any of those categories: Words escape me of how to properly thank you for your outpouring of generosity. I truly cannot thank you enough for your kindness both in the words of support you’ve given. As I’m unable to work due to the toll this cancer is taking on my body, the gift that you’ve sent are a definite help to my situation but, still, secondary to the spirit in which it was given. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Over the past 9 (nearly 10 now) years as I’ve posted on SDMB I’ve met and virtually met some truly great friends. This is a real community of people that share, laugh, argue, debate, and - yes - occasionally snark and bitch, but when the place comes together as it often does - and this time for me - I wouldn’t have it any other way.
