It’s a little hard to make out, but I believe the snippet of Japanese in Blue Oyster Cult’s _Godzilla_ is an announcer talking about Godzilla fighting King Kong. ---

Very obscure: Garrett Morris in a tux and in front of stills from the original movie sang “The King Kong Dirge” at the time Jodie Foster hosted Saturday Night Live. Seeing it in a rerun of “The best of SNL” I thought he did a good job for a piece that was surprisingly dramatic and serious. ---

He’s mentioned in a song in some versions of _Little Shop of Horrors_. The song is included as an extra in the most recent cast CD.
