My office is completely enveloped in hockey fever. We’re about 10 blocks from the Joe. I don’t think anyone is really getting anything accomplished today - too much time is being spent debating the finer points of the game, what Detroit needs to do and not do, etc. Counting down the hours 'til game time… ---

55 minutes to go… For the first time, I’m regretting moving to DC. Oh, that feeling will pass soon enough, but I would give the world to be at a bar with my best friend tonight. Also, I’m at work. At first I thought there was a reasonable chance of getting out by 8, but with less than 2 hours till then and not a single page of our newsletter sent off to the printer, I don’t have very high hopes. _sigh_ GO WINGS!!! ---

In full honesty: Even if I were a Red Wings fan, I’d still say that game 7 just sucked. Especially when you put it in comparison to the last two in the series. Nobody likes a blowout. Congrats to the Red Wings, and good luck to their fans! ---

Nobody likes a blowout? I do! That is if my team wins, which it did. 7-0… Wow. Today at school _everyone_ was saying “Avs are going to win.” and “Avs are going to blow the wings away.” I trusted 'em though, and they won. Now that the wings won, this one girl owes me 25 cents, because she was sooo sure the avs were going to win. My 2-1 prediction didn’t come true, but I’m still happy. ---

ugh. That game sucks. Roy must have been high. The 'lanch haven’t been playing like a hockey \*team[/] for the last two games. \ I think the MN Wild stole their uniforms and hit the ice in place of the Avs. Truthfully though, the Wings are my third favorite team (after the Stars and the 'Lanch) and I"m glad a team I like is going to the finals. The Wings are going to kill the 'Canes. They are going to be beaten retarded in all 4 of their games. Any dallas people want to get together for the game? –==the sax man==– ---

Holy shit! **Mr. Cynical** , that wasn’t a blowout, that was an exclamation point, my friend. That series will go down as one of the best ever, but the bottom line is no one will question who was the better team. No questionable goals to end it, no crease violations, no fluke one-timers won the series. The Avs just ran out of steam. Up until tonight, a 2 goal lead was a treat for either team. The Wings winning Game 6 2-0 I thought might hurt them tonight if Roy, Forskin, and Sackitch got pissed enough. But no. The Avs got outscored in 9-0 in the last six periods-- they just plum ran out of steam. I think Hartley felt the desperation in Game 6 when he challenged Hasek’s stick :37 into that second-period power play. Granted, all of my opinions are tainted slightly _Red…_🙂 RIP 'Canes. stv ---

Well this is just another drunken pass through post like my op was. They hockey lover part of my heart was disappointed that the game was so ugly. The red wing part of my heart was leaping head over heals, and the party part of my heart was diasapointed that the game was over so early that there was only weak parting left din downtown Denver, but what the hell I’m gonna rock this town if I have to do it alone (which I think I will) YAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ---

I’m not a sports fan. But I do live in Michigan, and I have to say that really, I’m damn proud of the Wings. The way they’ve just been tearing it up for the last decade warms my heart. I mean, the Lions have sucked pretty much forever, and it’s been almost 20 years since the Tigers have done anythng really worth bragging about.
