After a rousing game of 20 questions the pseudo-postmaster of that branch asked “Is he buried in Pittsburgh or Harrisburg?” (his place of death) I couldn’t help myself; I came real close to being loud as I said “Why? You want to make three attempts at his grave first, you idiot?” We laugh about it now - 20 years after the fact - but we had enough stuff like that and even dumber that I will insist my stroke in 95 was from dealing with the fall-out from his death in 94. Lord Almighty, the frustration of beaurocrats. ---

OMG!!! Today when my muffler separated itself from my van I finally decided that it might be time to look for something else. While a muffler might seem minor, the last exhaust system repair that cost between $200-300 was deemed ‘a temporary fix’ because I need extensive work. So anyways, I’m looking at cars that I can realistically afford and OMG THE Mitsubishi Mirage comes in PURPLE! I am seriously so excited that it isn’t even funny. My first vehicle was purple as well. :D:D:D ---

The cats were to be named Perseus and Andromeda upon Rosie’s recommendation, their being rescued from a dumpster during the Perseid Meteor Shower. The names were corrupted by Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) and Stepdaughter (v.3.0) to Percy and Ginny. A Harry Potter reference, if I am not mistaken. As I put Andromeda into durance vile tonight, I explained, “Your name Andy matches Percy, because of some Greek fellows.” She seemed more interested in cat food. ---

By the time I got out of class, I was so brain-fried I had trouble remembering how to get to the correct bus at the light rail station (I did manage to do so). Good news is that on reviewing a final (half-semester class) with the professor, I did get back enough points to pull my grade on the test up to a B, which gives me an A for the course. A slightly skin-of-the-teeth A (90.8% final grade), but I’ll take it, since that preserves my 4.0 GPA. 😃 ---
