It would be good if one of you in-the-know types started the AI threads. The ones with internet access who could tell us what’s up for tonight’s show. Not someone like me who is writing this message via brain-wave particles flowing from my head directly into the ether. When last we met, we were supposed to have just the good singers. But that didn’t happen as far as I saw. So maybe today. Or maybe Hollywood Week will start. Or maybe it’ll be the good ones today and Hollywood tomorrow. The possibilities are endless. ---

The radio today had an ad for tonight’s _Idol_. The tagline was something along the lines of: _But before they can go to Hollywood, they have to get through – **Texas**!_ ---

Tonight’s episode (2/6 @ 8:00 PM EST) is auditions from San Antonio and tomorrow night’s episode (2/7 @ 9:00 PM EST) is “the rest of the best,” which is supposedly the good auditions we haven’t seen yet. Eventually we’ll get to the Hollywood round – I guess next week. When do we start the pool on who has the first meltdown? ---

Loved the blonde ranch chick, and LOVED what the two cousins did. Really thought the second one was going to be awful, but looks like the first one just went there to keep his cousin company and purposefully bomb for the judges to surprise them (and looked like he had fun doing it). Definitely helped the good one look better. ---

I think they’re _trying_ not to laugh themselves but trying to make the others laugh. I feel for the ear-holding girl but that was terrible and I was laughing through the whole thing. My human decency-- it’s somewhere, I just don’t know where. ---

_Yaaay!_ I liked her. Ashton, was it? She is very pretty, and honestly? The faces didn’t bother me too much. Which is weird, because I normally hate _(haaaaaaaate!)_ that crap. I wonder if I have a girl-crush or something, but she is _stunning_. And I love it when people can sing old school stuff – Nina and Gladys. ---

Sigh. I have every station but Fox coming through loud and clear. I spent a half-hour on the phone with the cable company, and they have received no complaints but mine. If that %^&\* woodpecker harassing my house did it, there will be hell to pay, migratory bird laws be damned! As a side note, the cable guy had a heck of a time believing that (a) we only have one tv and (b) I haven’t watched Fox since last week’s Idol.
