I’m not going to make any too specific restrictions, but let me lay the following mental image on you before you begin: you’re laying on a beautiful beach- sun shining, waves crashing. Private, the beach is for just you and your closest friends- if you even want them there. Sunblock, coconut, and that damp sandy smell is wafting through the air. You’ve got a rum drink- an awesome rum drink. \*\*So, what’s playing? \*\* Feel free to cross all kinds of genres and time frames. I suppose if I were to limit the thread in any way, I’d give you this: let’s try to be either relaxing or happy in our choices-- if death metal is your music of choice. . . let’s go a little more chill or cheery :p. Some ideas to get us started (all link to the songs on Youtube)-- some of these are random, but hey! I now associate them with beaches :). [Under the Boardwalk- The Drifters](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPEqRMVnZNU) [Can’t Help Falling In Love- Elvis](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqv5b0UjR4g) [Baby I Love Your Way- Peter Frampton](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0nc-hh9viQ) [No Woman, No Cry- Bob Marley](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x59kS2AOrGM) (While not nearly even in the same galaxy as the original, the Fugees version of this song is quite good, too). [Stir It Up- Bob Marley](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLnq_tZf3eQ) [Over The Rainbow- Iz](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_DKWlrA24k&ob=av2n) [California Girls- Beach Boys](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ourF7nF8P58&feature=player_embedded) (Naturally, there are plenty of other great versions of this song). [Summertime - Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_PDns23RWY&feature=player_embedded) There are a whole bunch of more current pop and rap songs I love and associate with the beach, too, but I’ll leave that- plus the rest of the classics- to you guys to discuss! Oh, and full disclosure? I’m heading to Belize for 10 days in July and want an epic play list. I’m totally drawing blanks, so I’m looking to the collective genius of the Dope to hook me up with ideas!:D:cool: ---
