Irk was calm. Washed a few dishes, so that was productive. Dinner was an artichoke with Million Island dressing for dipping, plus some chips and guac, and hummus and pita. Apparently I was in the in the mood to dip things into stuff! But … but … I’s still hongry, though! Need protein. Something from a box in the freezer, perhaps, or I may peel open a tin of fishies, since I have half a lemon freshly cut open. Chillage is already ensuing. Switched from _“Community”_ to _"Supernatural_" (itself a change from _“Third Rock From The Sun”_) and am looking forward to a long shower, once I haul myself upright again. All y’all have yourselves a nice collective evening out there! ---

Evening, friends. PT this morning, came home and went back to bed and only slept for like a half hour, but woke up feeling sweaty/groggy/painful/ill/exhausted. Rest of the day has pretty much been spent watching old quiz shows on Youtube. My poor kitty isn’t doing great. I’ll spare you all the details (I keep writing like nine paragraphs about his symptoms and his blood work and tbh nobody wants to read that), but… it’s nothing super lights-and-sirens scary, but it is very obvious that he feels like poop in more than one way. Another vet visit is definitely in order. I’m sorely in need of a distraction and tired of watching anything approximating TV, so am considering a game of some variety. I don’t usually do video games or computer games very much, so I don’t have like… curated tastes and a wish list and a whole collection. I googled “PC adventure games” and one called Night in the Woods looks promising. The reviews are bizarrely over-the-top positive, like “this changed my whole life and I’m still processing it” … okay. Well, I’ll let you know if I come back a changed person. ---

That’s promising a lot, out of a game! Dang, if it’s even, like, DAY changing (as opposed to life changing) then do please let us know. Sorry about your kitty. Hopefully, the vet can get him perked back up on the double! Sardines were yum. Forgot I had capers, though. Dammit, that woulda made them yum-yum. Now? Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 89 and maybe N.O.S. or maybe rainy this afternoon. TWPTB are all willy-nilly today. Mowage needs to be on today’s agenda. Right now ‘tis too wet out (rained last night) and later on it could rain, so I guess that is a wait and see thing. I don’t want to mow, but it’s a thing that needs doin’. Other than that no big plan for the day. Sup shall be boxed lasagna (don’t judge!), sallit, and cheesey garlic bread. **Dots** hope kitty and you are doin’ better this mornin’. **Wordy** may today be an even better day. I say you’re right to take precautions. Sucks to be responsible sometimes but it ain’t worth the risk. **Shoe** sardines, yum! Perhaps I could google… Apparently there’s a tropical system that’s moving up the east coast and we’re expecting much rain tomorrow and the next. In anticipation, I don’t intend to water today. And I may take a walk today, in case I’m not able to tomorrow. I should do some laundry, too - I’d rather hang it out than use the dryer. Yep, another thrilling day ahead. I’ve rediscovered cottage cheese and fruit as breakfast. It used to be my go-to when I was working, but in the last few months, I’ve mostly been doing PB&J toast or an egg on a tortilla. Happy Thorsday! Home from the park, it’s already a hot and muggy 79 degrees outside. Supposed to get up to 93. I’m glad I have AC. Thinking about going to the park this afternoon. I know it’ll be hot, but the pups get rather energetic in the afternoons. Ripple can sit in the shade, Echo will find somebody to play with. The only problem with doing it is once you do something they like with a shar pei, they expect you to keep doing it. They hate change and love routine. I changed my evening hours to get off at 9 instead of 10. Last night I irked til 10 and by 9:30 both of thenm were sitting in front of me wondering why I wasn’t going up to bed. Weird dream for me last night. I was in the hospital trying to sleep because I was having surgery in the morning. I couldn’t sleep because the person in the next bed was having a party and they were making too much noise for me to sleep. Then an old man came in and woke me up because he wanted me to buy a set of pots and pans from him. Then some teenagers came in with a big screen tv and started watching movies. Obviously, I wasn’t going to get any sleep. I tried those games out once **FCM** , the ads made me crazy. There is an app called PlaytestCloud that pays real money, if you ever get selected to test the games. I don’t get selected very often, Niece2’s ex gets a lot more invitations to test games. Different demographic. I think you have to play games on your phone though. And it’s testing games, not playing them, although you have to play them to test them. Not sure what I am going to do today. I have lots of things on the list to choose from. I’ve been going through old unfinished lists of things to do and making a list for the lawn guy. I don’t know where I’m getting all this money to get stuff done, but I’m tired of looking at that stuff that needs to get done. It’s all minor stuff, except for the major bathroom remodel I want. Then I think I am really crazy to spend all this money when I’d really rather move. **Swampy** , I’m not going to wear a mask outside unless the law says I have to. It’s not crowded around here. When I take the neighbor to the store, neither of us wear masks. He can if he wants, which he doesn’t. We dont’ socially distance when we talk over the fence either. One woman at the park cracks me up. She is the most worried about covid of all of us, yet she hugged me the first time she saw me after the park opened, and she sits so close to me she may as well be sitting in my lap. Even if we are the only two people there she will sit right next to me. The first time she sat down so close to me I thought WTF? Now I’m used to her, just the way she is. Funny that she does it to me, I’m one of those people who will sit the farthest away from other people as I can get. {{{Dot}}} ---

I discovered that in downloading a few games where the ads show one kind of gameplay, but the actual game is something entirely different (like Homescapes, which is a decent game, but is not played the way any of the ads show). I think there exist a few games where you can win money, but it’s either minuscule amounts from watching ads/signing up for spam or it’s a tiny chance at getting larger amounts. Speaking of games, the one I played is okay. I haven’t gotten too far into it yet. It feels more video-gamey than computer-gamey, which takes some getting used to. Also not real heavy on the puzzles and puzzles were kind of what I was looking for. Arthur is looking better today. I gave him an anti-emetic pill and he’s been eating and drinking and has been up and about a lot more. That cerenia is kind of miraculous. It seems to take effect really quickly and make quite a bit of difference. It was only like five minutes after giving him the pill that he got up to go eat. He didn’t even fight it this time. It’s possible he was just too weak to make a fuss, but I’ve got a glimmer of a fantasy that, given how quickly it works, he might actually understand that it helps him and be less likely to put up a fight in the future. ---

Morning all. Up at 7am as I heard the garbage truck on the street over from me, so I hurried up and got the garbage assembled and out to the curb just as the truck showed up on my street. So that mission has been completed. My computer mouse is not working properly, I click it once and I get two jumps, so probably head over to Best Buy in a bit and get another one (or two). Already broke fast with a Big Bowl O’Cereal so just staying cool (80F heading for 90F) is the major goal today. **Sari** , you know your conditions well enough, but I hope you do have masks available if you do go to a crowded area… **shoe** , I’ve been to Lynchburg, TN (It’s about an hour away) and the Distellery, and let me tell you, that’s a lot of whiskey… **dot** , hoping the vet can fix up the feline. Morning. Another day in paradise. Another hot one. I still have house work and cooking. I found a spaghetti sauce that is not insanely full of salt so that shall be supper. One day we won’t have to worry about the salt I hope. Looks like **Buddy** forgot how to use the bed stairs on his vacation. He still uses the outside stairs so tis a mystery. I went over and let **Sunny and Shady** Know about the new MMP. I don’t know yet how to link. Barely know how to do much of anything here. Not too fond of change. Have a great day all. ---

**The Shed Report** I took the afternoon off, and put in five hours of work. First, I cut boards to go between the rafters/trusses and nailed them in. Then I cut, fitted, and nailed up eight pieces of OSC (four sheets). I’d hoped to get the flashing on too, but Daniel arrived with a couple of 12-year-olds just as I got off of the roof. It was good I didn’t put the flashing up. Have I mentioned I didn’t know what I was doing? I would have nailed it flush to the side boards. Daniel made ½-inch spacers from scrap OSB and put them behind the flashing so it would _not_ be flush against the boards. He then put the kids to work. He told them what to do, and they spread the adhesive. Daniel cut the roof roll and passed it up to them. They laid it down per dad’s/uncle’s instructions, and Daniel started nailing around the perimeter. As it turned out, the roof roll was only enough for three strips and we needed four. I’ll buy another roll and some more adhesive on Friday, and they’ll come out Saturday afternoon to finish the job. In the meantime, there was a roof roll under the shed. Been there for decades, and it was still good after the first wrap. Why not use it? Because Mrs. L.A. wanted white roofing material, and the found roll is black. The roofing crew put down the strip without adhesive and held it down with bricks pending the weekend. Good thing, too. It’s raining today. I asked how much Daniel is charging me and he said, ‘Oh, I don’t know. Give me what you want.’ I asked for a figure, but he was being coy. He said, ‘Oh, maybe enough for gas.’ (His work truck is an old ambulance.) I offered him $100, and he said that was fine. Next up: Painting the new structure, painting the floor, and thinking about painting the exterior someday. ---

Afternoon, mumpers! We are having another cool and damp day here, it’s been raining/drizzling on and off all day but I still have the windows open for the fresh air. I hope everyone and their pets are having a better day today, sounds like yesterday was not a very good day for anyone. One of the mogs was sick on the duvet earlier today, I didn’t know until I went into the bedroom for some socks as my toes were chilly…anyway, bedding has been changed and the offending stuff is in the wash. This morning I had an hour-long skype chat with my boss, we’ve been given a job to do that needs to be finished by next Tuesday, and the best way to describe it includes the words “dog’s breakfast”. But we are good conscientious people so we’ll do what we can and hope we’re doing it right. I swear the people requiring this job have taken the lead from our PM, the instructions change every five minutes… There is not enough tea in the world for this! ---

**Dot** - I play a lot of puzzle games on my tablet - match 3, link 3, assorted word games, sudoku - and since the games are free, I get bombarded with assorted ads which I’m getting really good at ignoring. But lately, a lot have been about getting paid for playing. I did some googling, and it appears some of them are legit, tho it was difficult to glean specific info from the articles I read. I may be brave and download some to see what goes on. Luckily, I have a junk email address that I can use to keep my real email from getting clogged. I’ve got a load of shirts on the line and a load of unders in the dryer. Lunch was a salad and leftover pizza. Shortly, I plan to run to the dollah store for a couple of things. So goes my exciting day.
