Is that a mole? I saw him on tv at the bar (no sound) and I googled “jeb bush face thing” and only got results about the things jeb faced in politics. Is he the Aaron Neville of politics?
Why would the “family values crowd”, as you call them, vote for Hillary over Jeb?
Also, it’s possible that she was channeling some douchebag YAF fratboy, and talking about Hillary…
I don’t know who would win IRL.
On the SDMB, the Dems could run an incontinent hobo and get 75+%, but the SDMB is only tangentially related to real life.

Which Republican is this incontinent hobo running against?
It might be an objectionable state of affairs, but it’s no lie. Just ask Pat Buchanan and Ralph Nader and Ross Perot . . assuming they’re not too dumb to have learned from experience.
They wouldn’t, but they might stay home on e-day if the Pub nominee does not excite them.
After the debacle that was the W. administration I’m sure Nader wished he’d just stayed home.
Republicans are pretty reliable voters. It’s the Democrats who have to worry about turn out. I’m not seeing the “family values” things as being any kind of issue Jeb needs to worry about.
More significantly IMHO, if the GOP nominee is someone who leaves them cold, they are a lot less likely to volunteer, badger friends and acquaintances into voting, and so forth.
This almost happened to John McCain in 2008, but then he chose Caribou Barbie as his running mate, and the base got all excited again. I’m sure something similar could happen this time - Jeb could choose Cruz or Huckabee as his running mate to keep the church wingnuts involved.
Any.

I would vote for Incontinent Hobo over some Republicans (Palin, Cruz, come to mind), but not all. I might prefer Bush or Paul to our Hobo.
Say Jon Huntsman, for example.
That’s not a nice thing to say about John McCain.
This is a great country, and the doors of political opportunity should be open to all. I say it’s high time we had an incontinent hobo in the White House.
It’s not over till the fat lady sings, right
Good grief Bush isn’t even getting 10% of ya’ll on his side
Perhaps some of you will change your minds in the next 16 1/2 months
lot of land mines out there to step on yet.
We did. His wife’s astrologer ended up running the government.
You do realize that you asked people who they thought would win, not who they wanted to win, right?
Sounds like a left brain vs right brain thing
If I want a seven to come up at the crap table
then I set my brain for a seven to come up ![]()
I no longer see the point of voting for the person rather than the party, and I think anyone who is against what the Republican party stands for tends to agree. Among the rest, there will be a significant push towards electing the first female president. And at least half of the people looking for a “moderate” will choose Clinton, even if Jeb runs as a moderate, too. Combined, I think that will be enough, even with the lower excitement about Clinton herself as a person.
