Jake, the level of corruption in this part of Los Angeles makes it useless to try. People of Rome, listen now, what more can I say about the late Caesar? It should be obvious to any reader that all people are basically the same, and by nature they are entitled to some expectations about being allowed to live free and do their thing to get ahead. ---

A bit off-track, but because this just happened a few hours ago . . . I’m editing a friend’s thesis on Shetland wool and its uses in spinning and knitting. A colleague’s print job got wedged into the front material of her “methods/outcomes” front matter and for a few moments I was in awe that my editee was making a link between wool carding and Frederic James’s visions of the apocalyptic as applied to 21st century science fiction films. 🙂 😃 ---

This reflects the movement of the ball, hit to Tinker (singular) at shortstop, who throws it to Evers (second base) who relays it to Chance (first base) for a double play. ---
