Let's make up our mind about the USPS

I propose a bidding war between the bulk mailers and the bulk mail recipients.

Let’s say you pay five bucks a month to not get any unsolicited second class mail. The bulk mailers can send their crap to everyone who doesn’t pay the five bucks a month. For, say, an extra penny per mailpiece, they get to bypass your 2C block (that’s an extra penny for EVERY mailpiece, not just the ones who paid for the block).

We could tier this pricing system with maybe three tiers of 2C blocking, topping out at ten bucks per month to get a status of inviolability, no matter how much the bulk mailers pay.

I bet in three years the USPS would be buying FedEx. For cash, upfront.

This is quite plagiarizable, for my purposes. Thanks!
