Voted It is a nice flower: kind of lotus-like, symbolic of Unca Cece’s ever-unfolding wisdom. And hellebores bloom in conditions not many other plants do, evergreen and tough as nails. Good choice! The breeder of the hellebore is [Barry Glick](http://sunfarm.com/biobg.phtml) (check out the photo), an ace horticulturist and quirky fun guy. I don’t know if he knows about The Staight Dope columns, but wouldn’t be surprised if he does. He’s got a good wild mind, and would probably appreciate Cecil’s knowledge and sense of humor. ---
