Ride (one of my favorite bands). I’ve never really liked the fuzzed out but amorphous dreaminess of MBV, and prefer the slightly more direct power and intensity of Ride (who just reformed!), even if both can fit underneath the broad shoegaze umm umbrella. Enya or Loreena McKennitt? ---

When I picked these two, I tried to go for _Band that should have been bigger._ My wife likes Timberlake and he’s kinda funny on SNL, so I’ll pick him. Don’t know Usher from _an_ usher.
