Actually, I’d say she’s smart, due to the line:

“Cuz the next time that he cheats … it won’t be on me”

In other words, she’s not one of those dumb girls who sticks with a guy even though she knows he’s a cheater.

I was just thinking about staring a thread about songs and inaccurate historical events but might as well co-opt this one.

[The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde](http://www.themadmusicarchive.com/song_details.aspx?SongID=6497) takes several liberties with the facts and Johhny Horton [likes to put trees into steers](http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Sink-The-Bismarck-lyrics-Johnny-Horton/65C9EACCFC5F91FA48256E2A001278C1).
